The windshield washer has quit on my 96 Maxima GXE. Does anyone knoe which fuse is involved ? Also where is the washer motor/pump ? Thanks

I believe if the fuse went, the wipers would also fail to work.
It is a simple matter to change the washer pump and doesn't cost a whole lot. It is attached to the reservoir so to access it requires only pulling back the fender lining.

Its on the same fuse with the wipers. If they work you probably need a motor. It is attached to the washer tank inside the right fender well.
Lets keep it simple first -- if the hose or the tip is frozen or has some junk in it the effect would be that there would be no fluid coming through and it would appear to be the motor/fuses, etc. Make sure that the fluid is not frozen and the orifices are really clean! Even a little dirt can clog it up sufficiently to not make it work!
Right. Plus, you can try using the washer while a friend listens in the area of the right fender well. If they can hear the pump running, then the line is blocked somewhere, or the line has come apart and fluid might be going someplace else up there. Good luck. Bob
