FL State Meet

Someone on the SDC forum typed a post about some of the cars at the state meet in Florida being vandalized. I wasn't there, but my grandparents were in the Avanti. Anyone have any details? I'm glad I DIDN'T go and take my truck now! Matthew

Yet another black eye for the state of Florida. AND, another reason why NOT to have such events in large cities, as I have been preaching for years. There are PLENTY of small or medium sized places that would go out of their way to have such an event. The list of reasons I hear for having events (other than the nationals) in big cities is as long as it is stupid. Studebaker George

At least no one got hurt, and maybe his insurance will cover the glass. It's a shame that people have no more respect than that for american history. :)

Geez, kids these days.

Trust me, there was plenty of fire power on hand to take care of them but it was dark out so they were hard to see. (They were the gangster rapper types you know) Not trying to be racist and if that offends anyone I am sorry. We were in the lobby looking at pictures of Nelson Bove's cars when we think it happened.

Calvin, I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. You have my deepest sympathy. Did I miss an earlier post? I was hoping to see the two of you together sometime ala George R's pix some time back. Paul Johnson
