IIRC they are all the same, the difference is only in the mounts to the frame, someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.

I have the bars from an Avanti, but no mounts.
That one, I believe, is the one Studebaker postwar rear sway bar that does NOT fit his car - at least not the way the factory intended. I wonder, since the AVanti was Lark-based, if it could be made to fit though. ISTR that it won't work because of a gas tank clearance issue?

The ends mount under the spring plate and there are 2 struts that are attached to the wheel well arch, with a piece of welded angle. The use the standard rubber isolators. I would think you could make the struts.

You can easily make these, by cutting the 90 degree bend shock mount 'tab' off of an extra set of spring plates ('62 or earlier, Model 23,
27, or 44). The tabs can be welded onto your spring plates in the same location as the original sway bar spring plates.I did this on my '54 Champion when I added the rear sway bar. I had a couple of sway bar setups but one was missing the spring plates. Since the Model 27 rear axle U-bolt holes are different, the Model 44 spring plate would not have worked anyway.

?albumƒ&pos’ I cut the contour of the tab to match the original sway bar spring plate exactly, but this would not really be required......I am just really anal about this sort of thing. If the mounting hole is within
1/4" or so of the correct location, it should be fine since the design of the sway bar links makes it very forgiving. In fact, if you bolted the sway bar up to the chassis, you could make cardboard templates of the tabs and then position the links to make sure everything clears. My bar ended up very close to the exhaust pipe, but has not hit.
Actually, if you have some angle the same thickness as the spring plates, there would be not reason you could not use this, versus cutting pieces off another set of spring plates.
Also....if you got your swaybar setup from a mid to late '50s sedan, or from a '63/'64 Super Hawk, don't forget that the Lark takes two 'adapters', part 1560747, where the bar bolts to the frame. These are shown in the green 'High Performance' section of the '59 thru '64 Chassis Parts Book. These are just blocks of thick steel plate with holes drilled/tapped in them, and are easy to make. I think I have a loose one to get dimensions off of if you need them.

Well, that was pretty stupid of me.......if I would have CORRECTLY read your email, I would have seen that you need the sway bar setup, not the spring plates. Next time I work all night, I will get some sleep before checking the NG !
