STi Motor in Forrester?

I heard a rumor that the 300 hp motor was going to be available in other Subaru models. Is there any truth to this rumor?

The Forester turbo STI is available with 265 bhp :

IIRC it's in the Forester XT...and all the published HP/torque/speed specs have been downgraded, probably to not piss off WRX owners. It's reportedly faster 0-60 than a WRX.

It's the same block, but that's about it. The XT has a smaller turbo, different fuel map, etc. It's rated correctly, but due to its insanely tall gearing, it is indeed faster to 60 than a WRX.

The STi engine (the actual, 300hp engine) won't go in any other models. The exclusive nature of the STi forbids it :)

I took a peek over on Cobb's site last nite...sounds like it has same turbo as WRX. They've already got some things going for it, coming a lot closer to STi HP/torque numbers...I'd bet it's one fun suv, heheh.
