I recently purchased a 2001 Camry with the 6-CD changer and JBL speakers. I compiled 6 CDs and was looking forward to switching among the jazz, rock and other music I'd compiled. While I can fast forward on any one disc by scanning, I can't seem to figure out (and the auto manual is no help) how to switch from one disc to another without playing the current disc all the way through or scanning to the end selection and having the "changer" go to the next CD. Is that the way this thing is designed, i.e., to play all potential 7 or 8 hours sequentially but not allow switching between CDs?
6 CD Changer-switching discs?

If it is like the in-dash 6-CD changer in our Sequoia, you just push the buttons labeled 1 through 6 to select the desired CD.
There are 6 preset buttons for the radio. When the CD is playing, these buttons buttons tell the player which CD you want to listen to. The default is for the CDs to play in order, 1, 2, 3, etc., but you can press any of the buttons to jump to a particular CD.
I can see Jim blushing from here... :)
To be honest, I was a little vague on the 1 through 6 buttons because on some models they're "soft" with the numbers/functions appearing on the display and on others they are the 1 through 6 radio preset buttons.
Below the CD LED display panel is a horizontal row of push buttons numbered
1 to 6. The last 2 buttons (i.e., #5 and #6) will advance or reverse a disk at a time.Is that the way this thing is designed, i.e., to play all
NOOOoooo! It can't be that simple.
Try holding the next track button a couple' seconds longer.
Yes it can!
