Ok, good, no insults. (and who of us 'hasn't been there'?)
So I have a green light at this intersection at which I want to turn left. There's a solid line of cars approaching me, I pull into the intersection and stop with my left turn signal on. I had to stop because there's (as I said) a solid line of cars coming through, I sit there for a few seconds and wait...now I've been into this intersection for much longer than any of the cars approaching, right?...so you're telling me that they're ALL illegal?, that they should STOP and let me cross?...c'mon Hashi...that's plain silly....they all have the right of way over me and I must wait till there's no more cars OR, what's more likely, that they get an orange then a red light (where they lose the RoW) so must stop (this then gives -me- the right of way) and I can finish my left turn.
As someone mentioned, this 'First into the intersection' might apply at a four way stop but certainly not at a traffic light or a cross street with stop signs on it.
