High Mileage 3.4 V6 question??

Hello all,

I have a chance to buy a 98 T-100 EXT Cab SR5 4 X 4 with a shade over

180K miles on it. It's in great shape. The owner was meticulous about oil changes and maintenance. I've seen the receipts. Oil changes were done every 4K miles. Still, I'm a bit worried. Does anyone have an idea of the lifespan of a well maintained 3.4 liter V6? I'd replace the water pump and timing belt quickly as they were both done at 100K. The rear main seal isn't leaking yet but I'm concerned whether this is due to go bad at this mileage. Any tips? TIA!

If maintenance was done meticulously and on time, 250 to 300K should be a piece of cake.

Yeah, I had a friend that had one with 250,000 on it and it ran new! (I'm not joking!). He did the changes every 3,500, timing belts, water pump, etc. It looked and ran like a new truck.
