There is a ban on drilling off the coast of Florida because people there are afraid the drilling may ruin the beaches and injure the tourist industry. Ruin it more than high gas prices and airline fares will, I guess...

But, the Cubans and Chinese don't seem to have too much regard for Florida's beaches...

If that was explained to any reasonable person they'd say "Well - that's different. I don't like it, but if it's going to be drilled anyway, it might as well be us. Are Floridians in general that stupid, or are they just not educated to the fact Cuba and China are drilling anyway? (besides the issue of who's going to do it the most safely)

Nothing in the article you linked addresses that in any way whatsoever, now does it.

I simply asked LM&C to provide some shred of evidence of his original statement implying a result of GWB's brother?? (that's what LM&C said) doing a favor for Jeb Bush.

Then, working under LM&C's bogus claim, I raised the issue of the collective intelligence or ignorance of Floridians if they don't see the stupidity of banning our drilling but allowing that of Cuba and China in the same waters. Stating that required no research.

I've heard a lot of people say that drilling our own oil would only lower the price of gas by maybe 10 cents. At the same time, no one I've asked has been able to substantiate that claim.
