97 Camry XLE

I've just purchased a 97 Carmy XLE (in beautiful condition, but that's besides the point), but there is only one problem with it, it didn't come with a remote for the anti-theaft system. Now i have a couple of quesions, maybe some camry owners will be able to help me.

  1. Can you open the trunk using the remote on 97's? (keep in mind, it's an XLE)
  2. I'm looking for a remote now, but i'm not sure which fcc code is right for my car, is it GQ43VT7T? (if you have a 97 XLE, and you got the factory installed remote, the code should be on the back of the remote, please check it).
  3. So does anybody know how to reprogram a remote to work with my car? (please don't be smart and tell me to "go on google, and type in camry remote reprograming", i've done that already. The only thing that acuatlly seemed real was some shit about unscrewing switch control panel and conneting two wires togther. WTF?

Well, thanks anyways.

Here you go, this worked for my 97 LE:

You'd have to know which FCC ID you needed though. It's a key with the remote attached to the head.
