Need help for VW passat Window regulator issues

Hi,



I am looking for the right Car forum or troubleshooting links for Volkswagen Passat Cars



Unfortunately, the problem I have is with 1999 Volkswagen Passat GLX. Last week, the Driver side window is not working. It dropped inside. I tried to bring it up by pressing power button, then some Glass chips are popped up (Not sure which portion of glass of is broken).



Unfortunately, my extended warrany was over two months ago. And dealer might rip me off . (He roughly quoted $800).


Appreciate any information on how to open the panel, how to fix.

If the glass is broken it is best if you take it to an auto glass repair shop. It won't cost much more for them to repair it then if you bought the glass and did it yourself. HTH, davidj92
