Not much you can do. Drain whilst engine is warm (not hot) but not cold, wear rubber gloves and remove oil filter over a plastic serving tray or similar. Don't forget to drain the oil from the sump first. You cannot remove the oil from the filter whilst filter is still on the car...

First . loosen the filter so it can be easily turned by hand. Then take a large baggie and slide up over the filter. Now you can unscrew without getting oil to your elbows. You can lower it a bit and zip the baggie for a oil-trail-free trip to the trash can.
