I don't have the manual on me at the moment, but on my '96 camry, there's a light to the left of the Airbag light, that looks like a car with the rear lights lit.
It comes on during startup, only after the Airbag light goes out.
Does it come when you put your foot on the brake to change gears? If so, it means that one of your brake lights is out. Make sure when you are checking to see which one it is that you check the raised center brake light.
Please read your owner's manual. it explains it clearly, but for those without an owner's manual:
1) The light should come on when you turn the key to ON and then it should go out. This is a test to ensure that the indicator light bulb is not burned out.
2) Turn the lights on. If the warning light comes on, you have a burned out tail light (Not brake light)
3) Step on the brakes. If the warning light comes on now, you have a burned out brake light. This could include the high center brake light.
If you still can not find the light that is out, you may have a dirty or corroded connection in one of your rear lighting circuits.
