Sick Roadrunner (The Bird) Sound

On a decibel scale from 1 - 130, the horn on my '85 SR5 Extra Cab Pickup rates about a 25. It sounds an awful lot like a weak roadrunner. I've only had the truck for a couple of years and it sounded like that since I bought it so I don't know if that's the way that the geniuses at Toyota designed it or if it's going bad. Is there any adjustment that can make it louder? Is there a replacement horn that will fit in the stock horn spot? I think I'd like to replace it with the loudest horn that will fit. Anybody got any suggestions??? TIA Jerry

Cadillac horns (from a junkyard) are a popular upgrade.

I put a Hella Air Horn in my 86 4Runner. That really wakes up the snoozing seniors and cell-phone yappers at the red lights around my town. ;-)
