I have a 2003 Tacoma 4 cylinder 2.4 L . I want to change my own oil and looking at the filter location I'm guessing I will need an Oil filter end cap that attaches to a 3/8 socket?If so what size end cap would this use?

I find those caps that look like big short sockets are worthless, they simply slip. Get a oil filter end cap that uses jaws that squeeze the filter when you turn the socket.
I use a strap wrench because there's not a lot of room at the end of the filter to use the other kind...
