Frame Extender

Nov 08, 2004 3 Replies

Hey,

I was browsing the samba classifieds the other day and came across a VW rod. It was fenderless with a large amount chopped out of the top. The ad said that there was a frame extender installed, it also had an ad for a kit to do this. Now I might be wrong but I am assuming that the kit pushes out the front beam. After doing a thorough google search I could find nothing of the sorts. I am particularly interested on how it works. Does anyone know of any kits offered in the US? The kit in mention says it requires no welding and also contains extension for the steering column. Anyone ever done this to there bug? I would love to see some pictures or details involved.

Thanks Jeremy

I want a frame extender for the rear so I can use a real trailer hitch.
