Don't sell that 1200 short. I put a worn out original 1200 from my brothers bug into a heavy 61 westfalia. It had a loud rod knock. I figured it wouldn't last 2 weeks. I drove that thing up and down California. Up the hills down the hills ( on Hwy 49 I'd make about 9 MPH climbing the Mokelumne hill grade ). It took over 2 years and 20,000 miles before the oil light came on. It then travel about another 20,000 inches before the pieces went flying. End of road test.
