Mufflers (Dual QP?)

Okay, I _really screwed up_ and built a 'custom' dual muffler setup that bolts to my Kymco header with dual 12" "mufflers". It's very neatly done, but WAY TOO LOUD! Even I can hear them. I'll be selling it as soon as possible.

Now to restore - I was running dual quiet packs. Very nice setup. Fit my ride perfectly. But it seems they aren't as popular as the PHAT-BOY and I'm wondering if it's a performance issue. Is the PHAT-BOY better than the dual quiet packs for a 10.2:1 2165 go-fast engine?

BTW - The QPs are _very_ neighbor friendly quiet but now that my new neighbor is a deef olde pharte like me, I can run what I want so I'm up for slightly throatier duals.

So, something like the QP but freeer flowing or am I really better off with the QPs or PHAT-BOY?

Doesn't look like a merged header to me. :) Probably okay for a low-rpm Thing, tho.

Oh. Well. If yer gonna' be thataway 'bout it!:~)

Don't know much about high output engines. I figger if yer gonna' want that manny horsies then ya' oughter be on the track instead of the street!

Recently did some work for a fellow who does very good work. He has himself a bit of a toy. It started life as a '74 Nova. It only resembles that these days. Now it is very close to a full fledged race car...roll cage and all. He says he will run about 600hp of nitrous through that engine! Says he even has out run some of those silly crotch-rocket motorcycles with that car! He started the engine in this car while we were working for him. Have to say you really needed hearing protection to be within 100' of that car while the engine was running!:~)
