Need Wayback Machine -- seeking headlamp FAQ

Got a headlamp with a burned-out filament on the Wonderbus. Was over at FLAPS looking at replacement halogen and other sealed-beam lamps. Don't have the foggiest notion what I should get. I know nothing about headlights.

Tried type2.com's library but the link to the headlamp FAQ ain't working. Anyone have access to a mirrored or cached copy?

LOL! Hey, it's sure keeping me plenty busy!

But then, if I knew WTF I was doing I probably would not be posting questions like, "How to replace fuse?" and "Gas cap -- clockwise or counter-clockwise"

Yer becoming our newbie magnet for a new FAQ. That's cool. Me, I've got way too much daytime reality outside of ACVW. Wish I had your time to mess around.

seems like if it just an everyday average headlight.... then it would be a $4.99 7" sealed headlight bulb.... or unless someone put in some halogen H4's then you would need something like a 60-55watt bulb to go onto the housing...

i had some Hella H4's and man were they bright... had to aim them low, BTW they are supposed to be an offroad light only.... yeah right.

Yeah, well, wish I had a car that didn't have something new and exciting breaking every day. Way I figure it, it's like this: getting this bus was like deciding to have a baby. Most the time, you get a normal kid who manages to grow up without too much trouble other than the usual struggles kids face growing up. But once in a while you get a kid who is maybe learning disabled or mentally or physically challenged. If you're a good human being, you don't walk away, but shoulder the extra burden and do what needs being done to help that kid while he's growing up. I thought this bus was a normal kid. But it's turned into one of kids that is harder work. Unlike a kid I could sell it or drive it off the Oceanside pier, but I ain't gonna. Somewhere stubborn ends and stupidity begins and I'm not willing to think that I have crossed that line.

I just tell the Wonderbus that it is "special."
