steering wheel wrap

Believe it or not VW made wraps for steering wheels like your looking for that had a vw emblem and part # . I just gave my only black one away but I'm sure I've seen them in brick red.

My '66 had one of those fitted new, in red leatherette to match the interior. Unfortunately I was forced to remove it since it had deterioated (and the black tape wrapped around parts was just plain ugly!). So if you find a source, please let me know :-)

I just put one on mine... it was available in various colours. About $8 CANADIAN, I recall... I'm sure it is an American product. It was in the "performance parts" catalogue at the auto parts desk in the local Canadian Tire store. I'm sure it is available south of the border. Can't recall the brand as I've thrown away the packaging but anyone here on the Can. side of the border can walk into a Can. Tire store and look it up in the performance parts catalogue I'm quite happy with the look and feel of it. I can send a picture in email if someone wants to see what it looks like.
