I never claimed I'm above it or that I never did it. Does that make it more jusutifiable for others to keep trashing the place? I can be part of a flame war, but I certainlyt can't remember drawing one out for days on end just because it's a flame war. Go ahead, dig the archives.

I can respect you for being you, and I picture you as someone who stands behind his words. I have no trouble with that. If you have trouble with social contacts then it's your problem, not mine. well I have worked on and restored many VW's over the last 25 yrs, I work on them EVERY day. I feel I know as much as most people out there, less then some I'm sure but when it comes to the work I do its always top quality.

I'm sure there is someone that has made an unfare comment about you, do you think it would be right if everybody just said thats the way you most be.

I have helped alot of people with there VW's and will continue to so I guess If you don't like it then don't read my post.

Didn't we just do this a while ago? Well, I only have the one '70 bug. The current engine has about 100K miles on it but is absolutely leak free even though I've been using Castrol Syntec 20w-50 for about 10 years now. I heard that synthetic oils tend to leak easier so I was a bit worried but it's been fine. I don't know if it's any better for the engine but it costs more so I hope it is. :)

I switched to a 009 distributor when my old vacuum model stripped out the screw with which you adjust the dwell. The only problem is average car stores don't seem to carry the right points or condenser so I make sure to have extras before I need them.
