Too good to be true??

John C. must be beaming while he reads this thread.....I know you're reading it John... :D Just don't stop what you're doing! ~Anthony

Jake Raby's T-Shirts have (or had) the rubber-like printing that flakes off, but the shirt is good. Mine lasted almost a week until the back was worn off from crawling under the car. Then I got a creeper.

Did I tell you about my creeper experience?

must be a heatpress transfer.....no, but please do tell us....my creeper is bent...not good to leave it behind the vehicle when you are ready to "roadtest" after repairs... JT

you are assuming the parts are "the same", which in most cases they are NOT. The EMPI dual carb sets you-get-what-you-paid-for; after you replace the intakes, linkage, air filters, and re-jet them, and replace the cold start valves and pump-bypass jets, they aren't any cheaper (and you have a ton of headaches).

All cranks are NOT created equal. I wouldn't use a cast crank past 4500 RPM or 90hp.

This is the case with almost every part we sell Justin. Just because it "says" it's the same part and application, does not mean it's the same part. We actually refuse to sell a part if it's not up to our standards (we do not sell the cast cranks AT ALL), because the Aircooled.Net reputation would suffer as a result of customers getting a bad taste in their mouths from the experience (more often then not).

for our outlook onthis. BTW, our supplier list is over 100 now (not 50 as in that article),I'll try to get it updated shortly. If you shop by price, you will likely end up spending more in the end, since you will often buy the part more then once, and in some cases a broken part will take a bunch more along with it. Caveat Emptor.

So I go to this cheap-ass traveling tool sale. The only thing that doesn't look broken is a hot-rod creeper. It's got the roller-blade wheels, padded back, the whole works. Rolls REALLY easily and fast.

I go home and start a brake power bleed. On the second spig - right rear wheel - my hands all slippery I discovered as I slipped away .... God I swear I never noticed my driveway had a downhill to the street! Had to _dump_ the creeper. Got a good road rash.

My friggin neighbor who was always watching from his back porch swilling beer about died laughing.

Should I tell you what I did to him in revenge?

...............Yes, you should tell us.

LOL..yeah sure...tell me so i will know what to expect, because im about to die laughing too...LOL...i got the visual in my head of you rolling down the driveway desparately grasping at objects that are not even tehre to stop you...LOL J

My neighbor's back porch was by my driveway. So from his point of view, about every day he came home around 6pm all he would see is my feet sticking out from under my car. He would sit there drinking beer, watching, farting and laughing when I busted a knuckle. I'd be under the car and ask him to lend a quick hand and he'd have lame excuses like "I got on a new t-shirt", or "Aw, I just washed my hands." and he'd laugh and go on drinking beer.

One Friday noon I came home and stuffed my work pants with newspapers, stuck my workboots on the end, slid the dummy under the car with the pants and boots sticking out, added a few tools by the side. Then Molly and I went right away for a four day vacation.

Turns out it took him two friggin days before he called the cops, freaking out, crying, thinking I died under there! He wouldn't look close! The cop laughed his ass off at him - gales of laughter with tears rolling down his cheeks! The neighbor took to drinking on his front steps. Last week he sold his house.
