Vovlo 850 Parts Usage/Interchange?

Hi, My 1996 Volvo 850 GLT Sedan hit a truck last year, the front left was hit, but being a pickup the bumper and the 'frame' (not that there really is one) went below the truck's bumper and weren't damaged. What was damaged was the left front fender, the hood, the radiator, the front left light assembly and a couple sensor things.

What I'm curious about is do I need to hope to find another 850 for my parts, or are there other cars, older or newer (740 or v70) that share the same hood or fenders?

Or are there any other cars that are mechanically the same, same or similar radiator assembly, fuel systems (for relays, and my throttle linkage, and a idle stabilizer unit, etc).

And, if not, does anyone have or know of an 850 that either was totalled in the rear end or the engine blew up, or something, or a suggestion on where to find one? I suspect most wrecks go to insurance company for 'totalled' claims, but most of the things I need I can't even find for sale, and the price for replacements parts would be quite expensive.

Thank you, Chris

98-00 c70/s70/v70 may interchange certain parts with the 850. The 850 became the 70 series.. 'C' being coupe, 'S' sedan, and 'V' for wagon.

None of the body parts -- they're all different.

The original poster should be able to find everything he needs via

(searchable used auto parts nationwide) and/or Ebay.

Body parts wise I think you need an 850. Even within the 850 there are some variations, especially in the very earliest model year or two.

Mechanically the first generation of S70 and V70 are very similar to the

850. You would have to be very careful part-by-part with substitutions.
