Thanks for answering questions in this forum.

A few years ago I was looking for a manual for an 02 Ranger. Someone in this group posted a link to a company that sells - legally - older shop manual CDs for various cars, trucks, ect. I bought the one for the Ranger. A very good deal. Sorry I lost/forgot the link to the company. Perhaps someone will know. Mark S.

Are you asking for that link Mark? Or was there another purpose behind what you are saying?

They're all over ebay. I'm not sure why people think it's hard to find this stuff. The guy cussing and carrying on about not having an owner's manual could buy one at the dealer, and he could cheaper get one at a junkyard or ebay. People complaning that Haynes and Chilton are inaccurate (and I agree, they're horrible) could buy a real manual on ebay.

Heck I even bought the entire set of Ford shop manuals for the old 88 Ranger I had. They were legally reprinted (i.e. royalties paid) and worked perfectly. I also bought an original owner's manual for it on Ebay.

Please forgive me for saying so, but it irks me that some people come on here and ask questions because they are too lazy to use google or ebay. What's far worse is when they get mad when someone points out that they could easily obtain this information from various sources. Why should someone else sit around and do google searches for you?

I know that 90% of this post doesn't apply to this thread, but it seemed like a good place for me to put it.

So what is the purpose of this NG? To sit around and bragg that I know it all, or I got a great deal on a truck? Sorry, I don't buy what you are complaining about. Sure the info is out there, and guess what? This is one of those resources to find that info thanks to people who have the knowlege or the willingness to research the answers.

Am I lazy? Sometimes, but other times I have done alot of research and still am not sure of the answer, so I ask. So do you.

So thank you to those who are willing to answer even the dummies. I appreciate your efforts

You're missing the point. My complaint is about those who ask something so obvious it's ludicrous. Like they can't find their own nose or something. A question that you could find and answer for on google in less time than it takes to type out a post.

If you're just lazy, you're wasting everyone's time. If you need a second opinion, that's different.
