That deflated feeling....

My Disco is again drooping on the drivers side rear (Y reg TD5 with airbag suspension and SLS on rear).

Dont think its the bags coz it pumps up ok if you start it up. Have also just used soapy water to check for leaks from the airbags, pipes etc and nothing is bubbling!. So far its sat level since this AM. It only seems to do it when i park up at home as well, which makes me think its the height sensors. When i park up i pull up into a neighbours drive and then reverse up a small slope till level. I think the back right height sensor is playing up when i'm reversing into my space and its getting confused. Also last week the SRS and another suspension light would come back on after all the other dash lights had gone out, according to the handbook this indicates a fault. The lights did not come back on this AM when the wheel arch was sat on the tyre!.

Local independant LR man wants £28 per sensor, great me thinks, but then i need to, apparently, take the car to him so he can reset the new senors with testbook. For this he wants £50. I can change the sensors myself but do i really need to get the new sensors set by Testbook??.

Also purely out of interest, where is the compressor for said airbags??

SRS? That's an airbag as in small explosive device in the middle of the steering wheel (and else where...).

Does it? Mine has always has the ACE (back view of car with curved downward point arrows each side, lower center left) and SLS (profile of car with upward pointing arrow a rear, upper right) come back on for a few seconds after the self test period of all dash lights.

I think so it involves putting spacers between the axle and bump stops then using testbook to lower the suspension on to the blocks. This calibrates the computer with the cars position in relation to the resistance of the sensor.

Box about 12" long 4"high and 6" deep bolted to the chassis under the middle near side.
