Maybe you are right, but it is well worth its money, but will drop below the
7k.The mag spiel was recently added, maybe I will ditch it..
Thanks.
You asked about this a while ago, and the general feeling was that you were asking dealer money for a private sale.
Drop it to £6.5k and accept £6k.
You'd almost certainly get a dealer car for £7k with a bit of negotiation.
No phone calls? Price is wrong. You are asking dealer money for a private sale. Try advertising it for £6000 in the local papers or an
Have had a few, and 2 very close sales..
Maybe you are right... I think I will drop the price.. boo oo..
It's French, and it's overpriced.
For that kinda money you can easily buy a better car. If you want it to shift put it on ebay starting at £1 with no reserve and let the buyers decide the final price - chances are it will be around £6k ish. Look at finished items to see what similar cars have sold for.
Alan.
I have looked everywhere and similar on ebay are going for over 7k.
I did do a ebay run with a reserve of 6800, it went to 6600
I think I may be asking too much, but others are selling at this price and I think it is well worth its money.
Thanks for the advice.

What has your question got to do with maintenance?
Paul, my question is to do with frustration and a drink last night...
Sorry
There's also the mileage:
"Only 12750K Miles"
That's over 12 million miles. Congratulations for making a French car last so long :-)
Indeed. People wanting to buy one of them will have already decided that they want one. They just want the facts - service history, condition, etc etc.
Low miles is all well and good, but on a 4 year old car that means it's almost certainly due a cambelt change. And does "full service history" mean it's been serviced annually, or once at 10,000 miles and that's it??

Lose the rediculous sales hype. If you must have something like that put a link to a review somewhere.
But are they actually selling, or just asking that sort of money?
On the face of it it sounds like a hell of a lot of money for a 4-year old Peugeot 306, but looking at AutoTrader it doesn't look *too* far off the mark - not many with low miles below £7k. But at the end of the day there are loads for sale, so the only way to sell it easily will be to make your price more attractive. Simple as that.

The message from "PhilÅ" contains these words:
I had a look and saw people /asking/ 7k for 'em, but they didn't seem to be selling well at that price.
It's not what you think it's worth but the buyer. for a private sale expect between trade and good price after all your not offering warranty etc.....
Get rid of all the pictures with the kid in it, also the ones where its wedged up against the brick wall arent too good either.

Ok, I think I will have a site revamp..
Just a quick question, I know to make sure I received either cash or a confirmed bankers draft.
But I have a main Peugeot dealer getting back to me soon to purchase, so.. Do I accept a normal cheque of a main Peugeot dealer with no problems.
They have been around for many many years??
YES MAIN DEALERS ARE NORMALLY FINE (opps caps lock sorry) And change the RED writing it looks horrible
But the car is RED.... arr, has anyone got anything good to say about it???
I'd probably be ok taking a cheque for something like that.
Mainly because I'd get a full receipt drawn up (like I'd do anyway), but typed up on the computer, all official looking, and get them to sign it, date it and time it. Also keep a copy of the logbook that they've filled in. Then pay in the cheque, and if it bounces, go straight to the local paper and they'll have hell to pay! :-)
