Handgun storage in a TJ?

heh....i can think of no better usage for any weapon than against the scum who would hurt our families.

be fair....i hope to one day contribute as much useful information to this newsgroup as bill.

...this is dependent upon the approval of your local sheriff, as i understand it.

welding and hvac contractor.

i wasnt referencing you specifically joseph. i was referencing the liberal tactics in general when it comes to gun control. the concept of "cutting a deer in half" is silly at best. there are some videos out there of people shooting prairie dogs with typical bolt action hunting rifles. im going to try to find it to link you. i own _many_ assualt rifles and ive never gone hunting with any of them. even as a gun enthusiast and hunter, i couldnt stomach watching them shoot the praire dogs with those "nice" guns.

thanks bill, thats the website i was looking for.

Can't we all just agree that the bears should be armed and now lets get back on the topic of Jeeps...

=)

Speaking as an Alaskan I would be against such an action.

This is true. The sheriff does not have to approve of you buying the weapon. He does however have to sign the application stating that you are not known to be a criminal, or involved in any illegal activity. If the local sheriff will not sign the form you cant get the weapon. This is why most people fill out the applications as a collector, this seems to work berrer with the local law enforcement officals. Having the local sheriff get involved seems to be pointless as the feds do their own background check on the applicants.

You have better luck in smaller rural counties. Dont waste your time in a large city .

Be sure you have paper in your fax machine, and leave it turned on.

He's running about a 1 to 5 useful to non ratio....if he'd stick to links, it'd be closer to 1:1...

If you ask me, most anyone that is crazy enough to run for President has to posess certain qualities of personality. The mud slinging is just part of the process...these guys have to say anything opposite their opponent's point of view. But there are more similarities than differences between the two major candidates IMHO, in this or just about any election year. The differences are in the details, and the details in an election year are all that gets broadcast. I will say that I don't like the way direction the Republican party has taken under the Bushes...I liked it better under Reagan. And I am not registered with any political party...and I never vote a straight party ticket.

Wayy of topic now...here, I'll get back on it....I don't own a firearm of any kind. I have considered purchasing and training since my children were born, but haven't decided yet if, in my case, the accident risk trumps the need for personal defense. but I do and have always believed what Bill posted...when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.
