Help. Considering OME 2 or 2.5" lift

I have an 05 rubicon. Finally put some KC's on the front bumper and a xd9000i. Put a garvin wilderness bumper on the rear so I can tow now. Boy is my suspension starting to sag. I think the winch dropped it



3/4" to maybe 1" in the front.

Does the OME 2.5" require a new driveshaft or can I get away with just new coils and shocks? I really don't want to put in a transfer case drop.



I am assuming I would need the OME heavy coils? Can't seem to find a matrix of when to use light. medium or heavy.



BTW, do I need to re-seat the steel rope when it was bought new? Meaning pull it out and then winch it all back in?

The only way you'll know for sure if you need a new shaft or t-case drop is after the lift. Normally, a TJ will be OK with 2" of lift, but I don't know about the Rubicon. I would get the OME HD coils. I've read several accounts of people getting an OME suspension, and loving it, but sagging on the regular coils after a few years. They have replaced thier springs with OME HD's and said the ride was just as good.

Did you buy the winch new? Did it come with the wire on it? If it did, check the owner's manual. The easiest way to 'seat' the cable is to spool it all out and wind it back in with about 500lbs of force on it. Most people like to just drag the Jeep in N, but this can make it difficult and unsafe to make sure the cable tracks properly on the drum.
