You do know that they have a lifetime warranty fromt the factory?

I ripped the little rubber button on mine, one call and a few days later there was a mailpac with a new shiny rubber button and a parts list just in case something else broke.

I have had my Six D-Cell (same ones the cops use) now for 8 years and the only thing I had to replace was the rubber seal on the switch. I love my Mag-lite! But I also would like to find a good place to store it in my '02 TJ.

I live in a very nice neighborhood, where I went to college was not so nice :)

You probably bought some cheap knock-off. I have several mag lites, and they all get tons of use, and have never done anything but replace an occasional bulb.

I got my first maglight in 1985 ... that's the one in my Jeep today. I broke one bulb around 1990, but the other one is still going strong !

That's where mine is ( well, right of my RHD driver's seat :-) )

Bill, it wasn't his wife. They weren't married. And the Court of Appeal reversed her multi-million $ palimony award as excessive. I guess that part of the case never made the newspapers.

This is for the ZJ, but all it took was some lexan and a bit of work with a dremel and some heat.

Up by the hump. It's bent to be held by the center console but provide a wrap that sorta clips around the flashlight with tabs front and back to keep the maglight from sliding out.

In what state? What do athletes and mechanics do?

The thing I like about the 5D is that it lasts forever. I go a year or more between battery changes. As far as heavy goes, I also carry a Surefire light in the console. Its very bright but only burns an hour or so before the batteries are dead. So between the two, I can count on having all the light I need, and can choose between small, bright, and light, or large and lasts for hours.

This idea looks like a winner, but will the Mag lite stay put in the event of a rollover? I'd hate to have it break loose and fly around smashing things..like a head for example.
