How bad is yours? not worth a rebuild?

Sounds like a full rebuild needed. Hmmm mine does maybe 500 miles a litre, but it takes a month or so to do that mileage

Suggest you look for a Dihatsu F50 2.5 N/A engine or even one of the newer 2.8 N/A or even a 2.8 Turbo. Retrofitting is relatively easy, speed and fuel consumption is very good and engine noise is much less. My F50 N/A does over 35 to the gallon on a long run and barely if ever requires the oil being topped off between 6,000 mile oil changes.I have
750.16 Wranglers fitted and have to be very carefull as the local plod have told me on a number of occaisions that I appear to be going a tad to fast! Impossible I say for an old 11A (1965)! Joking apart, the F50 pulls very well and cruises up the motorway at 70mph with no problems and no apparent strain. The superwinch overdrive helps enormously.Have something to add?
