Doors..?

Will early 110 doors (windy windows and recessed handles) fit straight onto a series 3? For that matter what about later defender doors?

Yes. Might need to replace the striker plate (definitely do for late defender doors with pushbutton - not sure about earlier ones.

On or around Mon, 30 Jun 2003 18:12:48 +0100, Mr.Nice. enlightened us thusly:

dunno, but the top hinge screws (#4 pozi by ther looks of the head) actually came undone on mine earlier.

hinge pin ain't gonna move though, so I moved the mounting as far over as possible, and now the door opens almost-correctly.

Depends a bit on the age of the SIII too, as there was a change to anti- burst latches during SIII production.

Had one of those on my back door after the door flew open whilst driving.

I had the opposite - back door blew shut with me leaning in it!

Damned heavy with the tyre - it hurt!

One of my friends, getting out of the back of my old 109" jumped a bit high, hit his head off the lift-up section, causing it to drop and squash my finger. That hurt too!!!
