Double-time indicator ticking

I had the same problem with my old Defender. Good bulb, bad connection in the socket. Cleaned the tag with emery and lightly greased it with copper grease. No problems since. If using copper grease, keep it to an absolute minimum to avoiding making contact between the earth and live terminals. Cheers, Peter

You were both right, it was the contacts. I took out the bulb had a look inside and the middle contact had fallen/rusted off. Not quite fixable, broken at the bottom and I can't solder it back in place.

Had the same prob on rear right of my 98 90. Replaced the connector eventually and that fixed it.

I've ordered the bulb holder part (you don't have to order lense too) as there is no way I can fix the connector. I've had a hunt around the garage but there is nothing I can use...
