Just got Percys insurance renewal :-)

It isn't often I'm chuffed with insurance but feel it only fair to point out I've had a renewal from Adrian flux for £188 Fully comp

I've put a call into Sureterm who cover Morph for under £100 and Percy will now be covered for £133.

Given Percys Modifications of which all were declared I think thats a result! Just over £10 a month insurance (equivalent) and free tax. And it's agreed value too.

Can I have my cheque now ......?

:-)

Do you know who the underwriter is for this? (I'll assume Sureterm are simply the brokers.)

Martyn, at the end of each of your mails you invite us to access the Tony Luckwill web page to keep abreast of the latest developments.

However I am surprised to see the statement at the foot of the main page -" Log files are kept of all accesses to luckwill.com, these files can be viewed by the police (no DPA needed). "

Perhaps you could explain.

It means that should the police ever wish to see access statistics and server logs (of what has been on the site, when updated and by who), they are welcome to do so without going through the process of getting a DPA. This was as a result of Luckwill sending a libellous email claiming there was 'different' material on the site (a lie he repeated during the recorded telephone conversation with him). I guess the notice should also state that no personal information is collected with regard to 'visitors'.

The rationale is to protect myself and others who are involved with maintaining the information on the site.

You're showing your age now :p.. Us young whippersnappers have to pay twice that! :-(

How are you finding sureterm?. I've decided that they are the most annoying insurance company ever and plan to go elsewhere next year!

When i insured my landy with them I got loads and loads of nagging letters saying 'send us your completed forms now'. I even got one the before my initial cover note arrived! (they could get an unpleasant whinging letter to me in a day, but it took 4 for the cover note which i needed to tax it!)

My housemate (against my advice) has just insured his fleet with them. He actually got his cover note through quickly, but then the nagging started. He sent the forms back within a couple of days, but that still didnt stop me having to get up unpleasantly early the other day to sign for another sureterm whinging letter. Disturbing my sleep knocks them off my list of companies to ring next year! :)

Steady on... I had a long paper round!

Yup I got that with Morph to...It's actually quite reassuring..They wanted 6 photos for the agreed value and a milage declaration. I can cope with that minor hassel given the price.

If you ask they will send a cover note pending the full forms return and issue of the full policy forms. That allowed me to do Morphs Tax ASAP.

reminds me must go get a camera film...they don't do digital incase I modify the piccy and make Percy look any worse than he already looks :-) When they asked the colour I asked...How much space have you got??? Right...Green, Red, Grey, Yellow , Cream .

"Multicoloured then Sir"...well I'm working on the one colour thing still....can't rush a good project! Heaven forbid I'd finish it I 'd have to buy another!

sorry :-)

they did send me the cover note. It just happened to take longer than another letter form them to get to me!

They didnt seem to accept that it may take a couple of days to get the photos sorted.. I dont actually even have a real camera even more!.

My 101 is with footman James. They needed forms returning along with photos. They didnt hassle me atall though, instead trusting me to read the big 'your insurance will be invalid in x days if you do not return this form to us' notice on the top of the form. And i did. I'd be happy to go with them again!

Footman James accept digital photos too :). Another point in their favour!

I dont see how not accepting them makes much difference to people trying to mess with them - If i was going to go to the trouble of modifying a photo of how my car looked, It wouldnt be too hard to make it look like a normal photo afterwards!

There are just too many projects that need doing! :). I think everybody knows where my house is now, and the mulitple landrovers outside are giving them ideas! I could have sold them twice over in the last few weeks to people who've knocked on the door and asked if i have any for sale! Today we had our first visitor who was trying to sell us another one! :)
