Should have thought they ought to be reasonably stable in heat since as someone (simon?) pointed out, it would get pretty hot under a bonnet, esp on a sunny day. Recon I'll stick to my tractor batteries :o)

I'd go along with that. bins were non-existent, although to be fair, they did come round a couple of times for the rubbish off the stand.

Shame about the turn out though. Alot of traders were complaining that they had a poor weekend. If they decide not to go as a result, next year, then it may be a slippery slope. that would be a shame. Have heard plans to alternate between peterborough and Malvern IMO it should stay put as reasonably central in the country, nice site too. It is of course handy for me, not that i'm influenced by that ;o)

Tough call that, could go any number of ways. I hope they make it fly to be honest. Needs to offer something different though I think IMO in order to survive the plethora of shows that are getting about.

A mate of mine (Hi Kay, if you still lurk here) only has limited use of one leg, and the other is, well, not too good really. She has no problem getting into either of her 101s (and she's a bit of a shortarse... oops!).

Remember that Grumble is a tad higher than most 101s, so if you can manage to haul y'self in (as I do), then I reckon you'll be fine :-)

Yeah, more me trying to find a reason rather than just admiting the battery is fecked on its own without any help I guess :-)

Oh yes, it's going to a local Optima dealer tomorrow for testing. TBH, the Redtop has been in for about 5 years and is still as good as the day I bought it. I'm putting it down to a 'one off' with the yellowtop, but still want additional - higher capacity batteries to run all the 'extras'.

Good case for a warranty claim i'd have thought, give em hell!! Take your axe for a touch of wood chopping on route ;o)

The bit down the aft edge of the slidey window is missing, at least. Also need a stack of mini-screws, to put it all back. I hope it'll be possible to lever the rivets out or something, don't see much hope of drilling 'em out.

mind, removed the mirrors at the same time, which makes reversing and spotting rear wheels a tad more problematic. Pity the doors don't easily come off the SIII.
