I might do that. The other option is to do the wings and paint job and try again. Not sure I've got the time or energy though.

I can't work out why this fetched what it did and mine isn't worth half as much.

My suggestion, fwiw, would be to re-list it with a few changes: be more positive about it before you list its faults, and just list, rather than go on about, the faults, e.g. say "needs new hinge pins" "needs glow plugs" "brakes pull". Maybe a bit about the engine - people may be worried about how well it's been converted.

I'd also try to get some better external photos - take them on a sunny day in a field, not in the back yard surrounded by the batteries you flattened trying to start it ;-)

A lower starting price might get people bidding, and allay people's worry "why's no-one bid? Have I missed something? Pound start, no reserve, if you're feeling brave.

I suppose I could beg SWMBO ;-)

try relisting it with a reserve but a low starting price. costs you a few quid to list with a reserve, mind.

LWBs always seem to sell for a bit less, and that SWB was really shiny, which will attract people (not sensible people of course, but we all know that eBay is full of every kind of person).
