Vacumme Diff lock RRC/101

Jan 31, 2006 2 Replies

Right Stanage appears to be on the list of places to scare myself shortly in Morph so I best sort the diff lock.

Any one able to tell me which pipes should go where? The actuator appears at last peek to have a pipe to suck the actuator on and then one to suck it the other way.

Now I'd expect the on pipe to be the one facing the rear of the truck and the off one to be facing the front but have no idea how the linkages work.

I need to rig it up to test it first before assuming the valve switch is knackered.. at least if I put a hose from the inlet manifold to the actuator direct I should be able to get diff lock shouldn't I?

What have I missed?

Oh yeah... what size is the pipe I need to replace the old that has cooked in the engine bay. Rich.. you got a roll?

I've most likely got something lying around that will do the job.

If the diff lock is not engaging the most likely suspect is the diaphram in the actuator - which isn't available as a seperate part..... :-(

Sucking on the pipes will tell you if its gone.
