Can anyone tell me how hard it is to change a wheel bearing on a Mondeo?
Do they often give problems or need specialist tools? The haynes manual suggests a press will be necessary - is this usually the case?

front or rear? I can see the fronts needing pressing if they are like some others I've come across, but the rears should be just punch in and punch out it also depends on WHICH mondeo you have, as the disc rears may be different to the drum rears

Thanks for the info - apologies for leaving a rather important detail off. It's the front bearing.
I've just spoken to a Mate who is always to be found messing about with cars and he pulled a strange face when I asked about this.
I think I'll probably chicked out and pay to have this done by someone else.
