Does anyone know what size Torx bit I need to fit Mercedes diesel head bolts? It's the 601, 2.4l, 4 cyl. engine.
Also, what size Torx(?) socket will fit the camshaft sprocket bolt?

More likely a spline type than a torx.
Wade through this USA tool specialist Merc tool site and you will probably find the correct animal.

With a Mercedes it will pay you to use the proper one or you break the expensive bolt/screws.... (speaking from experience).

Thanks, it was a spline. I bought a set so that I definitely got the right one!
They've all come undone ok. Whether they will do up again remains to be seen!
