Non-standard Car Radio Connector in 1998 Mondeo?

Jan 31, 2008 3 Replies

Hi, I still have the original factory radio-cassette player which I want to replace with a radio-cd player, which is kind of sad as the factory radio is very good. Anyway taking advantage of a Halfords offer to install the radio free I went down to their shop. The guy said it would take 20 minutes, but after an hour he abandoned saying my Mondeo had a data? connector and that it would be necessary to cut wires which he wasn't authorized to do. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the connector. Anyone know more, is there a special adapter (web address please)?
