Digital Dashboard in MkIV Escort?

Thanks.

A bit of research (ie. I asked a mate who works for Ford) has turned up Ford part number 7151113, which will apparently fit my engine. The description is:

Sensor assy - Speed ((-) Cosworth, HCS 1.3 Escort/Orion EA 1990-1995 CFI or (-)Cosworth, CVH 1.4 CFI (71PS) or (-)Cosworth, CVH 1.4 EFI PTE or (-)Cosworth, CVH 1.6 EFI(108PS) or (-)Cosworth, Zetec-E or (-)Cosworth, DOHC 2.0 EFI 16V (150PS))

I take it that later CVH engines got engine management but used the same basic crankcase, either that or Ford used the same size threads so that they only had to make one kind of cable? Apparently this sensor has the fitting for the speedo cable to go on top also, so I can run two dashes for a bit to get an approx calibration.

So the Astra dash expects pulses, at 5v or 12v? and for every 1000 pulses comming off my sender, I need to send 1776?

Apparently you can get a sender that provides both these functions? failing that I need one that sends for pressure and a circuit to determine when the pressure is too low, and light up the light.

And the rest will wire straight in with only crimping of cables needed, yes?
