Is that for the solo or the combination? If it is a combination, and a brand new machine, quite probably about right. You want to look at the Chiang Jiang chinese tat you do. Right up your price ally.

For the combination.
It's nowhere near 'about right', at all.
It's stupid money for a badly built, archaic, heap of s**te.
But, as always, there are one or two 'special people' around who think it's 'about right'.

I had one years ago, I fancied something slower and with a bit of character this time. It's years since I owned a bike and I'm not sure a blade would be a sensible choice until I dial myself back into biking.
I'll bear in it mind, cheers Alan.

Thanks for all the info, I do like the look of them . I'll do some more investigating I think. I can't be arsed with another Honda or Kwak, I'd like something a bit different!

Please do not feed the troll.
Why I am a troll just because I don't agree with your arrogant view & give a balanced opinion?
Alan...
Only to people who don't know and don't matter....
Didn't appear to be a troll to me?
Anyway, I'd totally love to be able to ride again. 13c and bright sunshine here today, and the roads haven't seen rain at all for a few days and nights so they're dry and have had a good deal of the salt and stuff rubbed off. We've still got the Hornet[1], it was technically a bike that me and mum joint owned as she put up cash and I put up the trade in, as I never used it and fancied trying something faster when my licence matured (I was under 21 so I had to wait 2 years or till I turned 21 - which I'd done like a year before I got round to doing anything about it. Apparently it has about
95bhp, is good for 140mph and I want to say 0-100 in 8 seconds, I'm sure I remember that right - does it sound feasible? I can confirm that speedo needle goes to the top speed but it isn't half a bit blustery up there being unfaired...I didn't use it a lot unfortunately, due to various reasons, which was a real shame because when I did ride it I really loved it. I know it's only a Hornet, and they're not exactly a sports bike, but for that first experience of a proper, none-125 bike it was damn awesome fun :-p I'd love to have a garage that, aside from my project R5 GT-Turbo, also had my classic bike project. I'd love one of those old Ural's like Carl posted, like the ones the Nazi's had in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but I'd like it ideally to be some kind've replica that was likely to actually work heh. It would not have a wheel on the outfit that was powered, that's for damn sure...
[1]It's for sale still I think if anyone is interested, 05 plate, Honda CBF 600 Hornet (there might be an 's' in there somewhere as well) which we're the second owner of. Done, IIRC just over 2k miles, tyres complete with some large chicken strips, recent new battery as well. Had just the one MOT which of course it passed perfectly. I tried to work on the chicken strips, but I think I only did probably, sub 200 miles on it, and mum has done more but isn't likely to be going for a GYKD moment...
My mistake.
His posting history suggests pompous arse, rather than troll.
You're all wrong, he clearly wants a Aprilia RSV 1000-R :-p
I must admit though, looks wise, I think I preferred the older RSV Mille-R bikes, that were virtually all black just with some red Aprilia branding.
So does yours ;)
Ah well, never mind :-)
I was just browsing the Aprilia site, and having never heard of these -
One of my best mates has an Xcountry which I really like as well, it's not a fast bike, but it's very easy to ride with gobs of low down power and torque right through the rev range.
I hate what manufacturers are doing with the headlamps on naked bikes. They look unfinished.
Sod and it's just down the road (may even have seen this one in town last year).
I seem to remember that roller bearing crank life of Dukes was kinda short. My mates GTS860 seemed to go on OK but the electrics were made of spaghitti.
Proper 750SS bit out of my price range.
I had the pleasure of following a MHR back from the BMF around '80-'82, thunderous beast. Made the side glass of every car it overtook flex with every beat.
What's up with them? I've never riden one but a mate thought a 500 Pantah quite nice when he borrowed it for a classic parade.
Steady on Steve that's almost affectionate for you, I'll have to try harder to upset you.
Alan...
You want to buy this one:
Ok, garage is full, Jean has her new toy.
The 750SS is up for sale.
