Lo all Last night HIC quoted me £749 for TPFT insurance. The quote i recieved was £749. I rang them up today to take out the policy. I asked if they did discount for Pass Plus - anyway, it turns out that the guy last night had put in that i had a years NCB (which i dont). When they requoted me today with Pass Plus, it came to £883.13.
So where do i stand? I know i didnt tell him i had a years NCB (i know you have to prove it). I asked to be put through to a manager (there wasnt one in - they are ringing me back 2moro morning). When i asked, they say that 1 years NCB = 35% discount, whereas Pass Plus = 30%.
£749 + 5% (i.e the difference between 1 years NCB and PP) = £786
The woman i spoke to in customer services said there was nothing they could do. They dont record calls, and they say thats the cheapest they can do it me for. I reckon thats s**te, coz they must make a profit somewhere. When the manager rings me tomorrow, ill just demand they give it me for £749.
Any comments? Matt
