The thing that is true about lots and lots of performance cars / coupes / desireable / expensive cars is that young men can't afford to buy them new and run them. It's not until mid-life crisis age that people can afford to start buying that sort of car.
Young drivers end up with very second hand body kitted and modded base models, and gravitate to faster ones when funds allow.

Of all the reviews be it in a mag or on tv that I've seen, the sti/P1 has been the preferred choice overall.
And of all the reviews I've seen between an Impreza and an Evo, the Evo is the preferred choice.
Etc, etc.
From a personal viwepoint the Evo is also /my/ preferred car, the Scoob is just too much of a letdown on the inside - and that's before you even drive the thing :)
The Sunny GTi-R is a supreme car. I hold it on a par with the Evo, definetely above the Impreza.
Here here! I have a friend down the road with one, He has had it about 2 months and its turned into a massive can of worms which he is currently sorting out, but it is a beast (well it sure will be!), and amazingly not too hard to work on, not compared to the micra anyway.
There was one in the place I went to get a quote for new clutch in my
200SX. The chap there was not impressed - keeps saying he takes on all the bastard jobs that no one else in town will touch. Took 3 days (worked on it at slack times and did 3 other cars at the same time) to get the engine out and back in. The engine had to come out as there was no way the gearbox could be slid off the diff. Couldn't take diff and gearbox off as the diff was bolted to engine in such a way that some bolts couldn't be seen with the engine in the car. Very true. I belive it is possible to do a clutch change with the box in the car, but you need to remove the transfer box first.
I do wonder about problems like this, and how it must have affected the car in rally, same as mine, the things would be horrid to work on under pressure.

Which car is "better" though, is down to personal preference. They're both VERY evenly matched.
I think i'd rather have the Evo, just for the exclusivity (Impreza's are common as Saxo's now), but stupid stuff like the 6k service intervals would put me off. Mind you, if i had one it probly wouldn't be a daily driver anyway, so that wouldn't really matter :)

WRX is consistently knocked off at the race track (tarmac) by 200SX's and many others.

Noway I disagree, Ive driven Evos 4-8 and theyre aweful inside, granted the scoob interiors arent anything to cum over either, but they are definately better.
Oh yeh I was never disputing that, the Evo is an awesome motor. But more suited to track than daily driver imo.
