'03 Cobras Have Bad Heads?

I've got the Vibe, Pull, and Pop.

However, I just got my tires rebalanced and had the front / rears swapped. Now the Vibe is very minor, but still present.

I had one of the ticks and it was fixed. I had a squeaky seat and it went away. I have some iffy dust spots in the paint and I don't care. My lumbar bladder doesn't work and I don't care. I have a sqeaking idler pulley and I don't care. I have a cold tick from piston slap and I don't care. I don't overheat even in the hot, dry, 105 degree F heat with the AC on and idling in traffic. I don't have the pull.

If I bothered to look I'll bet I can find all sorts of other pissy little issues to enumerate.

However...

My car is daily driven and puts out about 540 bhp / 561 btq and I have spent about $1500 in power mods. I'm shooting for about 580 bhp and the motor is more than capable if it. I just put coil-overs on the front and the car feels so different it's shocking. The geometry is still evil but I'll worry about that later.

I am having so much fun and enjoying the car so much that I simply just don't have time to be dissatisfied.

I had a list of problems at least as long as the above with my '99, add to that a total of *three* recalls, it didn't make nearly power even on joy juice, and I felt the same way about it: having to much fun to care.

*sigh* Enough, gotta go drive my car now :). Talk to ya later.

I've got the rub, but only when the stereo is turned down. ;)

Other than that, I have an awesome sounding blower, an awesome sonic blue color, ~390hp, nice suede/leather seats, and a big f'in grin on my face everytime I drive it. :)

I have a slight tick when it's cold. One of my rear strut mounts came loose.

Also, there's a fairly-loud growl coming from the exhaust pipes when I step on the throttle. I phoned Borla (who makes my catbacks) and they told me I was an idiot, and to never call them again.

I'll gladly trade a Honda for your noisy Cobra. No problemo...

You sure? On second thought, I couldn't live with myself for subjecting a nice person, such as yourself, to the unpleasantness of a loud, fairly fast, fun car, such as this one. Nope, that just seems unfair and rather rude. It unconscionable.

I guess , I'll just have to *suffer* with it until I can, hopefully, find someone I truly despise to hand this excitment and enjoyment off to.

But thanks for the consideration :).

I really doubt mass numbers of owners have "surrendered" their Cobras.

This is sort of "urban legi> The problem is that they HAVEN'T done anything about the problems.

That's no way to treat a customer! Maybe we need to Boycott Borla? ;)

Make it an MDX with touring package and nav system and you've got a deal. ;)

I won't ask how you came up with such a bizarre interpretation...
