boot looks like a swamp?

I had a similar problem with a Subaru, and I had to resort to using a high pressure hose to find the leak. Mine turned out to be a crack in a metal panel inside the fuel filler door.

I then sealed it with some silicone-based stuff suitable for body work.

As the other poster said, you pretty much have to put a hose to the outside of the car if you want to find the spot.
