More on fuel OT Summer is flip-flop season OT OT

I just heard that in the face of public sentiment regarding fuel prices, Sen. "Hanoi John" McCain has changed his position on off shore drilling, which is sure to make some of his environmentalist friends unhappy, but for those who trust him, it is a good way to distinguish himself from Obama. It is really looking like a contest between an old, nasty liberal and a young, likable liberal. I just need to decide if I want a UN carbon tax ala carte or with a UN global poverty tax and reparations. Let us pray that McCain gets a good supply of domestic oil developed before he invades Iran. It is senators like him who are largely responsible for our current predicament. He has made a career of delivering for the globalist bankers at the expense of the US public and now he wants my vote. ugh!

Barry'd in Studes (currently spending over $200./week on fuel & electricity)

Hey. Barry, I just discovered a gas station a short distance away where I can get gas for a bit more than half of what I'm paying now. I wish I could get off my fat ass and get some, but I drive the Comander so little, it's just not worth it.

My biggest monthly expense is now fuel. It will get cut in half in a couple months when the 'ol lady retires, but will still be way up there. My buddy who has a "crush yard" is spending two hundred fifty up per DAY... A couple friends are ressurecting old VW diesels and fixing up a still for used cooking oil. I sold all my old VW special tools and books some years back but maybe ought to get back into it...'cept the thought of being covered in diesel oil all the time is not appealing... Studebaker George
