My buddy Jeff sold those and a AM/FM for $1037 !! That'll help finance the paint job on the R2 Daytona I sold him.

I guess it's all relative Paul. I recall talking about $100 AM/FM's, that seemed to settle in at a going retail of $400 for a few years, now over a grand. It makes me wonder if it's because it was a very rare 1966 unit ?

Well, good for your buddy, but it bites for those of us who don't have

Dan, with something that rare, they come up on eBay so infrequently that a lot depends on who is in the market for such a thing at the given time. Next one up might go for $200, you never know.

If it's any consolation, I had a factory AM-FM radio in my old Avanti, and it was a pretty poor radio.

If I wanted a "stock appearing" AM-FM in a late model Studebaker, I'd take the common push-button AM radio, stick in a copy of the AM-FM dial glass, and then have it converted to a modern AM-FM board like they sell for all radios. It might not fool an eagle-eyed judge, but it would be a working solution.
