Interesting question! In the Old Days you used to be able to program the remotes by flipping switches, but you were then stuck with the same code until you manually changed it.

Now, with people canning codes to bypass the alarms, the alarm companies have devised schemes to alter the codes almost every time you press the button! It may not be possible to do this. I would check with the Toyota dealer first. They may have a method of programming the alarms and the 'clicker' together. You will have to have both cars at the service department to do this.

Barring that, try to determine the MFG of the alarm system and see if there is a way to accomplish this. You'll have to locate tha alarm, of course; you may have to contact the dealer for the location. There is always the possibility that the alarms may be two different types, also!

How you gonna select which car to start?...you 'do' realize that you'll start them 'both' each time?...

Check the frequencies for the Tundra and 4Runner. If they are different, then there is no chance that 1 remote will work both vehicles. If they are the same, then you can go through the programming steps on both vehicles with the same remote and see what happens.

both systems are toyota if that was your question. they were standard on both the vehicles. thanks for the input and if i get it worked out i'll post it.

these are not remote starters. just doors and the 4runner has the toyota alarm
