To each their own opinion...

Cathy

My "pleasant" thoughts are opinions.

My hand covered in cat crap is reality.

Nope; mine are indoor cats. When they go out, it's onto a screened porch.

Yeah - I often wind up stepping in it... wearing either socks or in bare feet. ;-)

OTOH, when cats lick you, they don't leave behind a pool of slimy drool. And they don't expect you to pick up a tennis ball that's ciovered with doggy drool. And they don't lick the windows which one just cleaned. And they don't eat the poop in the litter box. ;-P

Nah. At the very least, they're equal - in their own different ways.

Cathy

So - umm - you're saying that the dog has a choice in the matter of which neighborhood to live in? SO it's the dog's fault. That's brilliant.

The dog satisfies some need for its owner. The owner, in turn, begins (and works hard) to ignore normally accepted rules of living in a polite society.

Much like the unlicensed driver.

They are. But some people are cat people & some are dog people, & some are both. And some are fish - or bird - or reptile people. Etc.

Nope. Grew up w/ a couple of dogs & liked them a lot, but always wanted a cat, too. Except my mother was scared stiff of cats when I was little. When I eventually got a cat - as an adult - relaized I'm much more of a cat person.

They are *gross*.

Nope.

Cathy

You believe everyone is required to like dogs.

That's wrong.

Who twisted you into that belief?

You know, you *could* finish high school if you really wanted to, Shmuckland.

Then, why do you get so upset when someone points out some of the negative realities of dogs, Shmuckland?

"JoeSpareBedroom" ...

I don't think that's what's he getting at (I could be wrong). At least in my case, you just seemed to blanket an opinion on all dogs, based on the idiocy of their owners. I think you still are, which is a pretty bizarre stance, but oh well.

What she said.

How about a book on the topics of submarine hunting, math, and gambling? I forgot the title.

Your dog smells nasty.

How about a book on the topics of submarine hunting, math, and gambling? I forgot the title.

It makes perfect sense for those 3 subjects to be intertwined, although something like dbu or Shmuckland could never guess why.

If 100% of the dog owners I'm exposed to are idiots, my conclusion is correct. The ones I don't see, I don't know about, so I can't use them as "data", now can I?

Your new signature is perfect, but I fixed it for you a bit.

"JoeSpareBedroom" ...

Hoo boy.

I give up.

Natalie

Daily. Why? Are you going to tell me that I should put up with an animal that doesn't bathe daily, even if its smell disgusts me?
