Hadn't they surmised the bees were disappearing because of cellular phone usage? What are the chances we would give up cell phones to save the bees?

Given a choice between food and cell phones, which would you choose?

Ask that question of the millions of people yakking on those devices attached to their ears. I am sure you will get a different answer than mine.

Well, it might come down to that choice, or a third: More of our produce coming from countries where growers use unregulated chemicals. Then, the choice becomes cell phones or illness.

In message news: snipped-for-privacy@news.readfreenews.net, badgolferman sprach forth the following:
No. Ethanol is another suspect. The byproducts of ethanol combustion land on plants and the bees die when they encounter the byproducts.

It's all malarky for the most part.. There is no real shortage of bees, except maybe in some commercial operations. Here in Houston, there is actually an excess of bees right now. BTW, the reason there are some shortages in some locations are due more to mites, etc, rather than RF. You think the transmission of RF on UHF is something new? MK

Umm....commercial operations are the focus of this issue, city boy. If they have problems, everyone has problems, unless you eat nothing but meat & potatoes.

What does RF emission have to do with bees? Let's hear some objectiveness from jsb.

I said nothing about RF emissions. I was responding to the fallacy that the shortage isn't important because it only matters to commercial operations.

I suspect that every pet peeve or controversial theory under the sun will be blamed for this, but the fact is that the bees are just returning to their home planet.

Ever hear of 'hive mites?' There are over 500 bees species in the US alone. Search the bee keepers site for more info. Stop drinking the cool aid , WBMA. ;)

Dumb f*ck. Nobody's sure what the cause is yet.
My comment did not claim there was a definite cause. I asked a different question.

Wow, has the GOP already drafted a letter on what what it's members are supposed to believe on this issue?

The Tribune Newspapers can hardly be considered a Republican source. Search for their articles debunking the 'cell phone' theory if you are interested in being enlightened on a subject for a change, before you comment. Perhaps if you did you might not seem so foolish so often LOL

Nobody has claimed cell phones were the definitive answer to this bee mystery, f****it.
