Soylent Green is people.

Yet another kook speaks LOL

That explains it all. The Daily Kos will be THE source of truth, no doubt.

No question about that, that's why I like watching C-SPAN and the house and senate live on TV. I wish there were hidden cameras in the back rooms.

On the subject of media, I was changing my oil in the garage while listening to comedy/talk radio this morning. As the show I was listening to came back from commercials and the news, the first thing out the guy's mouth was: "No need to think about it folks, I do that for you." He then proceeded to bluster on about something or another.

Wanna take a guess what show I was listening to? Hint: Although I consider him to be a comedian, you don't.

One on Air America? ;)

The plan died because when the board was asked to reveal the written business plan, they drooled. There was no business plan. They had no indication of where they got the idea that there WAS transient traffic. They said the Army Corps of Engineers was handling that aspect. Wrong. The ACOE has absolutely nothing to do with the business aspect of such a project.

As far as attracting new visitors, this plan came on the heels of another absolute disaster: The fast ferry project, which was supposed to bring visitors from Toronto. It failed in less than a year.

He is funny, but he takes his think from my play book. He and I agree on many things. Many things he brings up are so true.

I'm happy to hear you are a listener. My opinion of you has changed a little.

Yes, and when I heard the "No need to think about it folks, I do it for you" line, I fondly thought of all you bushies in this NG. ;-) Ol' Rush hit the nail on the head alright.

If you are so shallow to think he thinks we don't think then you are naive. It's show time that's all. Sheeez.

He counts on it! The people who think for themselves find Rush to be comical and are not the ones he is playing to.

Honestly, I'm amazed at your belief that he's serious. I don't listen to Rush anymore, but I did at one time. I found it a nice relief from the usual fare.

His statement of "telling you what to think" was explained many times over the years. He was doing a parody of the idiots who accused his listeners of being unable to think for themselves. He poked fun at them and others who've accused him of other things in order to clearly illustrate just how vapid and vacuous their thought processes are, in addition to them being just plain ignorant.

He pokes fun at absurdity by intentionally being absurd.

When I first encountered Rush, it wasn't, "Wow, I never thought of that before.", as so many fools believe. It was more, "Wow, I've never heard anyone on the radio who believes much of what I already do."

Live with it.

Or we could have stopped the thieving republicans from sacking the country's treasury. It's time for a revolution in the streets. Time to push you royalists off the edge of your flat world.

Right wing radio has been good for Rush, very very good. Reminds me of an evangelist. Find a bunch of gullible followers, whoop and holler for them, and rake in the money. Does Cadillac give them all an Escalade? I've heard a few of them mention their Escalade.

Flatulatus eliminitatus is the best friend that you've got.

Charles of Schaumburg with apologies to Dr Seuss.

Paul and Jan Crouch. Say no more.

Gore has Escalades. How about him?
